The Honors Program at UGA includes the Churchill Scholarship. American graduate students, some from UGA, work on a one-year master’s degree program in science, mathematics, or engineering while enrolled at the University of Cambridge in New England. Fifteen students throughout the US compete for this prestigious scholarship. Those who satisfactorily complete the application and interview process are considered for this award. In addition, honors students are educated within the Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities (CURO). Global Gateway provides support to the university’s global mission. Researchers and scholars from UGA fulfill the university’s global mission through their work.

The University of Georgia offers a study abroad program, which gives eligible students the opportunity to continue their education in one of the participating countries, from Argentina to Zimbabwe. Foreign students wanting to come to the US under this program are also welcomed. Students from one of several degree programs are able to participate and work on their studies in a foreign country.
