Farmingdale State College is located in the midst of some of the nation's top schools and one of the most vibrant economies. However, discerning students know that Farmingdale offers top quality education for a reasonable tuition rate. Their academic stature is borne out by their number, specifically their top stats for retention, graduation rates, and their student-to-faculty ratio.

The retention rate is a statistic that researchers like because it indicates how first-year students respond to a school's curriculum, resources, and overall campus experience. Thus, class sizes are manageable and offer the opportunity for students to not only engage with each other for group projects but provides chances for students to engage with their instructors for questions or discussions about the course material.
