At Bethel, students can select from undergraduate, adult undergraduate, graduate, and seminary programs. All programs work to empower students to use their strengths to generate confidence that leads to career readiness and critical thinking. While students learn subject matter, they are encouraged to address personal convictions regarding individual beliefs to be able to coexist in the real world in peace and harmony upon graduation. The school refers to this as ‘to live what one believes’.

Students will be able to pursue experiential learning opportunities, as well as nationally recognized speakers and local pastors. Bethel University costs $38,460 annually for an undergraduate education. Students accept financial aid at a rate of 100% to offset the high costs of a private education in the form of student loans, grants, and scholarships. Program participants should also anticipate extra expenses around $14,000 to pay for standard living expenses, as well as books, supplies, and more.

Academics at Bethel combine faith, education, and career preparation. Students can select from over 100 programs in two distinct undergraduate colleges, a graduate school, and a seminary college. The undergraduate colleges are designed for all types of students, including non-traditional students and first-time students. Available programs vary greatly in specializations including art and design, business, computer science, biblical students, sciences, human kinetics, nursing, music and theater, psychology, engineering, and more. Students can also pursue a number of pre-professional degrees such as pre-dentistry, pre-pharmacy, and pre-medicine.

Throughout the colleges and schools, students can select from associate degrees, bachelor’s degrees, certificate programs, pre-professional programs, master’s degrees, and doctoral programs. An honors program and summer school are both available for all students, as well as study abroad opportunities. Five-year programs are offered as a bachelor’s degree to MA degree in either business or ministry and students have access to a variety of resources, from a library to committees.

The university maintains an 85% retention rate of its students during the course of their academic experience. It also has a four-year graduation rate of 64% and a six-year graduation rate of 73%. The student-to-faculty ratio is respectable at 12 to 1. The four-year graduation rate is right around the national average, though it is likely lower than the 6-year rate due to the fact that so many students participate in the five-year degree programs.

The outcomes of Bethel graduates include a number of successes. Ninety-seven percent of graduates find employment or enroll in advanced degrees shortly after degree completion. Around 70% of alumni contribute time to volunteer activities and 68% possess leadership positions within the community, church, or work. Over 80% remain active members of faith communities. Part of the success of graduates can be attributed to the extensive career planning and development available to all Bethel students.

Students also have access to off-campus programs. These programs include over 100 internship opportunities as some of the best organizations and companies in the US, such as with 3M, NASA, and Medtronic. International study offerings are available both locally and internationally including Spain, the Galapagos Islands, and Guatemala. Students can also work with neighborhood associations, churches, tutoring, mentoring, and additional service-learning projects.
