Daytona State College is a public institution. As such, it is funded by Florida resident’s taxes, who benefit from lower tuition rates than those from out of state. These in-state students pay less than $5,000 for a year of tuition, fees, supplies, and books. They offer some bachelor's degrees, but they primarily confer associate degrees and certificates to help students get a leg up in the working world. Their academic numbers aren't like those of, say, Florida State but nevertheless, Daytona State still posts very positive numbers.
