There are approximately 16,000 students enrolled at Rasmussen University, with the largest percentage located in Florida. The majority of students are enrolled in associate and bachelor’s degrees. Total full-time faculty employment is about 322, with another 1,646 providing instructional support part time. None of the campuses have staff dedicated to research and public service and there are no graduate assistant positions available. The student-to-faculty ratio also varies by location; it is lowest in Florida (10:1) and highest in Kansas and Minnesota (18:1).

Tuition rates at Rasmussen University vary based on the area of study selected, as well as enrollment status and degree level. Students are charged per credit hour, with those taking classes part time sometimes paying slightly more. The cost per credit hour ranges from $155 to $865. Notably, active-duty military members receive a reduced tuition pricing of $167 per credit hour.

Students are also responsible for paying for housing and meals. Rasmussen University does not offer room and board, so students are responsible for finding their own accommodations off campus. Additional expenses often include books, supplies, transportation, parking, and personal needs.

Rasmussen University does work with students to make the cost of college more manageable. The institution is also a leader in online, affordable education. Rasmussen University believes in providing students the opportunity to balance work, life, and school. As a result, the school is dedicated to helping those enrolled find appropriate online programs that fit their schedules, as well as preparing them to pursue their career goals with confidence. There are over 50 fully online degree programs available, including certificates and diplomas. Notably, no doctoral degrees are offered in this format.

According to the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), Minnesota locations have the best retention rates for first-time students pursuing bachelor’s degrees part time. Based on the data provided, 100% of those who began their studies in fall 2020 were pleased enough with their experience to return in fall 2021. Retention rates for many other states are not available, however.

Graduation rates vary significantly by location. This data is significant, as it indicates the number of students who successfully earned their degrees or certificates within 150% of the standard completion time. In Illinois, the overall graduation rate for full-time, first-time degree or certificate-seeking students who began their studies in fall 2015 was 60%. Stats for other states are much lower, however. The graduation rate reported for Florida and Minnesota was in the low 30s, while North Dakota campuses achieved a rate of only 15%.

Rasmussen University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, an institutional accreditation agency recognized by the United States Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. The university also maintains many programmatic, specialized, and professional accreditations awarded for specific programs or areas of study. Outcome measurements for the Rasmussen University campus locations vary, but few demonstrate exceptional results. This is particularly true for full-time, first-time, degree-seeking, undergraduate students. Wisconsin had the best statistics, with 13% of these students receiving certificates and 16% successfully earning associate’ degrees. Only 1% of students were awarded bachelor’s degrees, however. Kansas had the highest achievement rates for bachelor’s degrees, with 7% of full-time, first-time students earning them.
