They scrutinized the retention rate because it measures how many first-time, full-time students return to UT's campus for a second year. Higher scores indicate that students and their families were very satisfied with the faculty, curriculum, and campus resources they found at UT. Since UT reported a very strong 74% retention, researchers were rather impressed. Then, they found that the graduation rate was 55%. This is a bit lower than the national average but, when compared with many other schools, UT is still doing well. After all, students are faced with many financial and social pressures that can pre-empt graduation.

University of Toledo students are looking at a bright future. The school's excellent academics have launched many brilliant and successful careers. To verify this claim, our researchers looked at salary data from past graduates. They found that the electrical engineering students led the pack for top earnings, with a median salary of $84,000. This excellence extended to the fifth highest earning degree, biomedical engineering, whose graduates posted a median salary of $70,000 for their first years of work. In fact, the entire top-five earning graduates were engineering students. Other graduates started off strong, such as business management students whose median wage was around $53,000, and allied health grads, whose median wage was reported at $50,000.
