Arizona State University (ASU) is a large, public university founded in 1885. It is located in Tempe, Arizona, which is essentially a suburb of Phoenix. The school has an additional three locations throughout the Phoenix metro area and outside of the city including Downtown, West, Polytechnic, and Lake Havasu. ASU has a student body population of over 53,000, almost 45,000 of whom are undergraduates.

This higher learning institute has been working hard on becoming a reputable academic leader in a variety of subjects and research arenas. At the moment, they have over 400 faculty honored as National Academies, over 1000 National student scholars, 77 top-ranked programs, and over 200 national championships and conference titles. Undergraduate students can expect to pay more for out-of-state tuition rates over in-state tuition, which are $29,428 and $11,338 respectively. Whether students choose to live on or off-campus, they can expect to pay up to another $18,000 for books, supplies, room and board, and more. You should also keep in mind that Arizona has some of the best and most exciting adventure activities to experience off-campus such as kayaking, arts, music, festivals, and more. At ASU, students can select from more than 800 degree programs in a wide array of academic areas. This includes over 250 study abroad programs, 270 minors and certificates, 350 undergraduate degree programs, 450 certificate and graduate degree programs, and 160 research centers and institutes. And the school also offers a highly reputable honors college that is home to nearly 7,500 exceptional students each year.

Students can pursue a variety of fields and specializations including sports business, venture development, political philosophy, communication, teaching, IT, entrepreneurship, space exploration, and many others. A dozen or so colleges and schools exist to meet the focused goals of nearly every student such as business, engineering, health solutions, global futures, law, public service, and journalism. Research opportunities, internships, and project-based experiential learning offerings are also available.

Programs and resources at ASU are designed to help students thrive in their personal, academic and professional lives.
